Activity

Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are highly active and need regular exercise. They love to run and hunt in large fenced yards, but can easily acclimate to an apartment or condo if there is a yard or park nearby for them to play in regularly.

Care

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dogs will require weekly brushing in order to keep their coat from becoming matted and tangled. You should especially pay attention to the hair behind their ears as well. They have a tendency to have heart issues and suffer from diabetes, cataracts, and allergies on a regular basis.

Character

While the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is full of energy and a natural swimmer, they love to be lap dogs and showered with attention and affection. They are extremely gentle with their family members and do well with hunting or agility events.

Coat
