Overview

The Australian Labradoodle Dogs began as a cross between the Labrador Retriever and Standard Poodle, or the Labrador Retriever and the Miniature Poodle. These are typically non-shedding dogs with an amazing temperament. They are very healthy with an average life expectancy of 12 years.

Activity

The Australian Labradoodle can live in an apartment as long as it gets plenty of exercise. Inside, they’re moderately active and do best when they have an average size yard at the very least. This breed needs long daily walks.

Care

The curly coat of the Australian Labradoodle Dogs requires brushing at least once every 2 weeks. They may also need to get trimmed or clipped 2 or 3 times every year. Their shedding is minimal and many don’t even shed at all. Make sure they get at a long walk at least once a day. Bathe only when absolutely necessary, no more than once every 3 to 4 months.

Character

The Australian Labradoodle Dogs are confident, sociable, clever, friendly, and intelligent. They do display some separation anxiety, but are very compatible with other animals and small children. This breed doesn’t make the best guard dog, however.

Coat

Australian Labradoodle Dogs have curly coats that need to be groomed at least once every 2 weeks with a slicker brush. In addition, 2 to 3 times yearly they may need a trim or clipping. Most dogs of these breed tend to shed very little or not at all. They are also possibly non-allergenic. The coat patterns in this breed include all solid colors, chocolate, café, parchment, lavender with dark amber eyes.

Temperament

The Australian Labradoodle Dogs have sweet and gentle temperaments. They’re intelligent, sensitive and non-aggressive. In addition, they love people and are very loyal. They are constant companions that will follow you everywhere you go.

Training

The temperament of the Australian Labradoodle Dogs is sweet and gentle. Their intelligence, sensitivity and non-aggressiveness make them very easy to train even when they are still puppies. They’re people friendly and quite loyal, makes training even easier.
